**The product.** A web app that builds a resume and a cover letter with AI help. The user picks a template, fills in or imports their details, lets the AI write or rewrite the summary and the bullet points, and downloads a PDF. It starts without an account, the site exists in 18 language versions, and free side tools check a resume against applicant tracking systems and translate it. Paid access is a one-time 7-Day Pass for US$8.99 or a Pro subscription at US$14.99 a month or US$59.99 a year.

**Why it worked.** A job seeker needs a good resume for a few weeks, not for years. Rezly lets them start for free with no sign-up and then sells a short pass at the moment they want to download more than one PDF. The AI writing comes from OpenAI by the request, so one founder can offer the same tool in many languages.

Evidence grades: A = disclosed by a public company, a filing or a payment processor, or verified by one; B = two or more independent reports agree, or a journalist confirmed it; C = a founder claim that no one else verified; D = reported, not verified: one founder claim or a third-party estimate with no second source; calc = computed on this page from graded facts.

## Summary

Rezly AI is a resume builder. It helps a job seeker write a resume and a cover letter, then exports them as PDF files. Most of its pages talk about passing an applicant tracking system (ATS), the software that many employers use to receive applications, read the text out of each resume and filter or rank candidates. An ATS-friendly resume uses a simple layout and clear section headings, so that this software can read it. Rezly's templates follow that rule, and its AI assistant writes summaries and bullet points from the user's job title and experience. The privacy policy says the AI processing uses third-party services, "including OpenAI".

The site was online by 24 March 2025, when the Internet Archive first saved it with the line "Free AI Resume Builder". The TrustMRR profile names Martynas Bučinskas as founder, gives Lithuania as the country and 27 July 2025 as the founding date. TrustMRR reads the payment records of the business from Stripe, its card payment processor, through an API key. Those records show revenue of US$95.88 in November 2025, then a slow rise to US$833 in July 2026 and US$1,208 in the last 30 days to 31 October 2026. That one month is the only time the revenue reached US$1,000, the lowest monthly amount this site accepts. All revenue since the start is US$6,354.

The headline of this page is that one month, and it is grade A because it comes from the payment processor. The monthly recurring revenue (MRR, what the active subscriptions bring in each month) was lower, US$445 from 34 active subscriptions, because much of the money comes from one-time 7-Day Passes and yearly plans. The page also shows four failed companies that sold resumes, job matching or hiring software before language models could write the text.

## Pricing

Rezly AI prices from its pricing page, read 31 October 2026 (grade C)

| Plan | Per month, billed yearly (US$) | Per month, billed monthly (US$) | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 | 0 | 1 resume, 1 cover letter, 1 PDF download and 10 AI generations a month |
| 7-Day Pass | | 8.99 one-time | all features for 7 days |
| Pro Monthly | | 14.99 | all features, cancel anytime |
| Pro Annual | 5.00 | | all features, US$59.99 a year |

The 7-Day Pass is a one-time payment that does not renew. The annual plan is US$59.99 a year, shown here divided by 12; the page calls it a saving of 67% against twelve monthly payments. All paid plans give unlimited resumes, cover letters, PDF downloads and AI writing. The refund policy, last updated July 2026, says passes are not refunded once access has started and annual plans can be refunded within 14 days if they were not used much. In some countries the payment goes through Lemon Squeezy instead of Stripe.

## How much revenue does Rezly AI make? The numbers, graded

A resume builder with US$1,208 of Stripe-verified revenue in the 30 days to 31 October 2026, its first month above US$1,000, and US$6,354 since the start

| Fact | Value | Grade | Note | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Verified revenue, last 30 days to 31 October 2026 | US$1,208 | A | Stripe records through TrustMRR, revenue last synced 31 October 2026. It is also the October 2026 row of the monthly table. The profile marks it +57.0% against the 30 days before. It is one month only: no earlier month reached US$1,000. | [1] |
| Monthly recurring revenue, 31 October 2026 | US$445 | A | Stripe records through TrustMRR. The profile marks it +37.9% in the last 30 days. | [1] |
| Active subscriptions, 31 October 2026 | 34 | A | Stripe records through TrustMRR. | [1] |
| Average MRR per active subscription | about US$13.09 a month | calc | Calculated: US$445 divided by 34. It lies between the annual plan (US$5.00 a month) and the monthly plan (US$14.99), which fits a mix of both. | [1, 3] |
| Revenue in the last 30 days that is not MRR | about US$763 | calc | Calculated: US$1,208 minus US$445. This is only a rough sign that one-time 7-Day Passes and yearly payments make up much of the month; the profile does not split revenue by plan. | [1, 3] |
| Revenue, all time | US$6,354 | A | Stripe records through TrustMRR. The last twelve months are US$6,337, so only about US$17 came before November 2025. | [1] |
| Monthly revenue, November 2025 to October 2026 | US$95.88, 165, 122, 242, 628, 481, 460, 462, 833, 872, 769 and 1,208 | A | The monthly table of the TrustMRR profile. | [1] |
| July to September 2026 against April to June 2026 | US$2,474 against US$1,403 | calc | Calculated from the monthly table: an increase of about 76%. This is why the trend on this page is "growing". | [1] |
| Users | "Loved by 20,000+ job seekers" on the home page; TrustMRR estimate 15,000 | C | Both counts include free users, who need no account. They are not paying customers; the paying count is the 34 active subscriptions plus an unknown number of 7-Day Passes. | [2, 1] |
| Founder and country | Martynas Bučinskas, Lithuania | C | Founder and country fields of the TrustMRR profile, which the founder fills in. The privacy policy says Rezly.ai is "operated from Lithuania" and is governed by Lithuanian law. | [1, 4] |
| First archived page | 24 March 2025 | C | Internet Archive copy of www.rezly.ai: "Free AI Resume Builder", "No sign up required". No prices were on the page then. TrustMRR gives 27 July 2025 as the founding date. | [8, 1] |
| Time from the first archived page to the headline month | 19 months | calc | Calculated: March 2025 to October 2026. | [8, 1] |
| AI provider | OpenAI | C | Privacy policy of 10 July 2026: "AI processing is performed using secure, third-party services, including OpenAI". The home page of June 2025 showed a "Powered by" OpenAI logo. | [4, 9] |
| Languages | 18 language versions of the site, covering 15 languages | C | The language menu lists English (US, UK and Ireland), French, Spanish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Italian, German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch, Lithuanian, Indonesian, Polish, Turkish and Finnish. The feature list on the same page still says "10 languages". | [2] |
| Pages in the sitemap | 1,005 | C | Counted in the sitemap file read on 31 October 2026: templates, examples, free tools and the same pages in each language version. | [10] |
| Payment processors | Stripe, and Lemon Squeezy in some countries | C | Privacy policy: payment data is shared "with Stripe and, for purchases in some countries, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record". TrustMRR reads only Stripe, so any Lemon Squeezy sales are not in the verified figures. | [4, 1] |
| Outside funding | none reported | C | No source mentions investors or a funding round. | [1] |

How to read this table: a grade A value comes from Stripe payment records, read through the TrustMRR profile on 31 October 2026 (revenue last synced the same day). A grade C value is a statement by the company on its own pages or by the founder on his TrustMRR profile. A "calc" value was computed on this page from the rows that it cites.

## When did Rezly AI launch, and how did it grow? Timeline

## Why did Rezly AI work?

### Free start without an account

The editor opens without registration, and the free plan includes one PDF download a month. A visitor can finish a whole resume before paying anything, and pays only when they need more downloads, more AI text or a second version.

### A short pass for a short need

Most people look for a job for weeks, not years. The 7-Day Pass for US$8.99 sells that short period without a subscription, next to monthly and yearly plans for longer searches. The gap between US$1,208 of revenue and US$445 of MRR in October 2026 suggests that passes and yearly plans bring in much of the money.

### One product, many languages

The same templates, examples and tools exist in 18 language versions, and a free translator rewrites a resume "the way resumes are written in that country". Each language version adds pages that people can find in search, and an AI model does the writing in every language.

### Free tools around the paid product

An ATS checker, a summary generator, a bullet point generator and a translator are free and send the user into the editor. The pricing page turns that traffic into passes and subscriptions.

## How it was built

These details come from the company's privacy policy and the source code of its home page. The policy is grade C; what the page source shows is visible to anyone.

- A web app built with Next.js, the React framework: the home page loads its code from /_next/static paths.
- AI writing by OpenAI and "similar AI providers", according to the privacy policy.
- Payments through Stripe, and through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record in some countries.
- Analytics with Google Analytics, according to the privacy policy; the page source also loads Mixpanel.
- Support chat through Crisp, loaded in the page source.
- A job search page that lists openings "pulled straight from company career pages"; it links out and does not send applications.

## Who tried this before Rezly AI, and why did they fail?

Four companies in our database of failed startups sold resumes, job matching or hiring software and failed. The values below are from that database and are not independently verified.

The failed startups come from our database of dead startups, retold here in our own words; Its entries are AI-assisted summaries of public sources, so they carry no evidence grade.

### Jobspice (2009 to 2012; funding US$20K; cause: Competition)

- Promise: An online tool that makes good-looking resumes quickly for job seekers who are not designers.
- Why it died: It sold one narrow product while LinkedIn and free resume tools gave the same thing away.
- Record:

### Jobr (2014 to 2019; funding US$2M; cause: Competition)

- Promise: A mobile app in which job seekers swipe through jobs, as in a dating app.
- Why it died: LinkedIn and Indeed took the market, and the swipe format did not keep users.
- Record:

### Ansaro (2017 to 2022; funding US$15M; cause: No Market Need)

- Promise: AI software for employers that parses resumes and automates hiring steps.
- Why it died: Hiring teams saw it as optional and preferred human judgment to an algorithm.
- Record:

### Monster Worldwide (1994 to 2025; funding US$500M; cause: Competition)

- Promise: The first large online job board, replacing newspaper job ads.
- Why it died: LinkedIn's network and Indeed's search traffic took its users.
- Record:

## What changed

Jobspice made resumes look good but could not write them, and it competed with free tools. Ansaro sold AI to employers, who did not want it. Rezly sells to the job seeker, and the language model writes the text that the user would otherwise struggle with: the summary, the bullet points, a version in another language. That writing used to need a paid human editor; now it is a request to OpenAI that costs much less than the US$8.99 pass.

The model also makes the many-languages plan possible for one founder: the same product is offered in 18 language versions without translators. The market is crowded, and Rezly is small next to other resume builders on this site: Rezi reported about US$1 million a year in March 2023 (grade D), ResumeUp.AI about US$4,000 a month in November 2025 (grade D) and Sheets Resume US$26,000 to US$30,000 a month in March 2025 (grade C), while Rezly's US$1,208 in one month is lower but verified by Stripe.

## Can one person copy Rezly AI now?

**Verdict: Yes, it is a common and copyable product, but the market is crowded.**

A resume builder needs templates, a PDF export and an AI model, all of which are available to one developer. Rezly's own figures, verified by Stripe, show how slowly such a product grows: eleven months from the first month in the Stripe table, November 2025, to one month above US$1,000.

1. Let visitors build a whole document before they sign up or pay.
2. Sell a short one-time pass for a need that lasts weeks, next to monthly and yearly plans.
3. Publish the same product in several languages, with the AI model doing the writing in each one.
4. Add free single-purpose tools, such as a checker or a translator, that lead into the main editor.

**What is still open.** Resume and cover letter tools for languages and countries where the large builders have no local version, and documents for other one-time needs, such as rental applications or visa letters.

## What could go wrong for Rezly AI?

- **One month at the floor.** The headline is one month: US$1,208 in the 30 days to 31 October 2026, the October row of the profile. No earlier month reached US$1,000; September 2026 was US$769. All revenue since the start is US$6,354, below this site's total floor of US$10,000. If November falls back, the business is below the floor again.
- **User counts are free users.** The home page says "Loved by 20,000+ job seekers" and TrustMRR estimates 15,000 users. Both include free users, who need no account. They do not contradict the paid figures: 34 active subscriptions and a monthly revenue near US$1,200.
- **Marketing claims on the home page.** The FAQ asks "Why is Rezly the best resume builder online?" The free tools page says personal information is "never shared with third parties", while the privacy policy says AI processing uses third-party services including OpenAI, and payment data goes to Stripe and Lemon Squeezy. The feature list says "10 languages" while the language menu has 18 versions.
- **Sales outside Stripe.** The privacy policy says Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for purchases in some countries. TrustMRR reads only the Stripe account, so the verified figures may miss those sales, and the true revenue may be somewhat higher.
- **AI-written bullet points.** The free bullet point generator turns "a job title into five honest bullet points for your work experience". The text is written from a job title, not from the person's real work, so the user has to check every line against what they actually did. The job search page only lists openings from company career pages; Rezly does not send applications.
- **Crowded market.** Many resume builders sell the same features, including the three on this site named in the section above. Rezly has no source that says how its users find it; its 1,005 sitemap pages in 18 language versions suggest search, but no traffic data is public.
