ChartPro+ is an iPhone app for technical analysis, the practice of predicting price moves from the shape of past prices on a chart instead of from a company's business. The user uploads a chart image, and the app reads it with AI and with three standard indicators: the EMA (exponential moving average, an average of recent prices that gives the newest prices the most weight), the MACD (moving average convergence divergence, the gap between a fast and a slow EMA, used to spot a change of trend) and the RSI (relative strength index, a 0 to 100 score of how fast the price rose or fell recently). The App Store page says the app "identifies the current market direction and suggests optimal entry and exit points".

The App Store lists PROSOFT TEKNOLOJI LIMITED SIRKETI as developer and seller. A "limited şirketi" is the Turkish form of a limited liability company, and the company's own website calls it a "Mobile App Agency" in Istanbul. The app was released on 4 November 2025. On whatsthe.app, a marketplace for buying and selling mobile apps, the owner is the X account @melihcsrr, and the listing reads its figures from RevenueCat, a service that records App Store subscription payments for app makers. At the last update, on 2 October 2026, it showed monthly recurring revenue (MRR), the subscription income that repeats every month, of US$2,838 from 86 active subscriptions, and US$3,208 of revenue in the last 28 days.

These figures are grade A because they come from RevenueCat through an API key, not from a screenshot. They are also the end of a fall: MRR was 50.6% lower than 28 days before, the RevenueCat key has expired since then, and the seller offers the app for US$21,600. The page also shows four earlier companies that sold trading signals from news, social media or crowds of investors and failed, and it lists what is uncertain, starting with whether the app's suggestions are right.

ChartPro+: US$2.8K MRR verified through RevenueCat, October 2026. iPhone app that reads an uploaded price chart with AI and the indicators EMA, MACD and RSI, and suggests the market direction and entry and exit points, Türkiye (the publisher's website gives an office in Istanbul, and the terms name Turkey as the country whose laws apply), solo founder, evidence grade A.

How to read this table: a grade A value was read from the app's RevenueCat account by whatsthe.app. A grade B value is a record that Apple shows on the App Store. A grade C value was written by the seller on the listing, by the publisher on its website, or in the app's description, terms and privacy policy. A "calc" value was computed on this page from the rows above it.

03

Why did ChartPro+ work?

Four causes, in the order they mattered. Each one is a reusable lesson.

01

A picture in, a reading out

The user does not connect a brokerage account or a data feed. A screenshot of any chart is enough, so the same app works for stocks, crypto, forex and gold, and for any charting site. The app returns a direction and entry and exit points, the part that a beginner finds hardest.

02

Subscription plus tokens

An active subscription is required, and analyses above the monthly limit are paid with token packs of 100, 300 or 1,000 tokens. The App Store lists two yearly plans at different prices, US$39.99 and US$59.99, and a weekly plan at US$6.99; the sources do not say which buyers see which price.

03

Many small updates

The app had 23 versions in 11 months, seven of them in May 2026. The release notes say only "Minor system improvements" or "Minor system improvements and bug fixes", so the changes are not public.

04

Worldwide store, small numbers per country

Ratings come from 13 countries; India gives a quarter of them and the United States 11. Through the App Store, a small company reached users in at least 13 countries within eleven months.

How it was built

These details come from the seller's listing on whatsthe.app (grade C), the App Store records (grade B) and the app's terms and privacy policy (grade C). No source describes the code or names the AI model. [1, 2, 4, 5]

  • Flutter for the iPhone app and Firebase for the backend, according to the seller's tech stack on the listing.
  • An AI model analyzes the uploaded chart together with the EMA, MACD and RSI indicators; no source says which model or provider.
  • RevenueCat manages the App Store subscriptions and token purchases, and whatsthe.app read the revenue from it until the API key expired after 2 October 2026.
  • The terms and the privacy policy were made with TermsFeed's generator and are hosted on termsfeed.com.
  • The App Store privacy section lists usage data that may be used to track users across other companies' apps, and advertising data, which points to advertising or attribution tools; the seller reports US$1,000 a month of marketing spend without naming a channel.
  • The app needs iOS 17 or later and is listed in the Finance category with an age rating of 4+.

Who tried this before ChartPro+, and why did they fail?

Four companies in the Loot Drop database sold trading signals made from news, social media or the picks of other investors, and failed. The values below are from that database and are not independently verified.

Died 2012 to 2020Burned US$50M

Isentium

The promise

Trading signals from the sentiment of social media and news, read with natural language processing.

Why it died

Social media data was noisy and carried compliance risk, competitors offered broader market analytics, and the company depended on a few large clients, according to the database.

Died 2005 to 2008Burned US$17M

Monitor110

The promise

Early-warning signals for hedge funds, filtered from blogs, news sites and social media.

Why it died

Collecting and processing the data cost more than its customers paid, and traders stayed with Bloomberg, according to the database.

Unit EconomicsLoot Drop entry ↗
Died 2007 to 2010Burned US$2.5M

SocialPicks

The promise

A social network that collected stock recommendations from its users and tracked how they performed.

Why it died

It never reached the number of users needed for useful signals, relied on advertising, and the 2008 crisis cut interest in stock forums, according to the database.

Died 2015 to 2018Burned US$2M

Instavest

The promise

Copy the trades of experienced investors, who earned a commission from their followers.

Why it died

Robinhood and eToro offered the same with larger communities, and trust and financial regulation raised the cost, according to the database.

The failed startups come from Loot Drop, a free database of dead startups, retold here in our own words. Loot Drop describes its entries as AI-assisted summaries of public sources, so these cards carry no evidence grade.

What changed

Isentium and Monitor110 built their signals from large data pipelines, news and social media collected and processed in real time, and that data was their main cost. SocialPicks and Instavest built signals from crowds of investors and needed many active users before the signals meant anything. All four sold to someone who had to trust a signal whose quality was hard to prove, and that trust was the part they could not buy.

ChartPro+ needs neither the pipeline nor the crowd. The user brings the data as a screenshot, and a rented AI model reads it, so one small company can sell the same analysis for every market through the App Store. What has not changed is the trust problem: no source on this page measures whether the suggested entry and exit points make money, MRR fell by half in the 28 days to 2 October 2026, and the App Store page recommends ten other finance apps next to it, six of them AI chart analyzers by their names.

05

Can one person copy ChartPro+ now?

The method, yes. The market, crowded.

A small company built an app in which a rented AI model reads a chart screenshot, and it reached about US$5,700 of MRR within ten months before falling to US$2,838. The App Store page recommends ten other finance apps, six of them AI chart analyzers by their names, and one later app uses almost the same name. Anyone who copies the method competes on marketing and trust, not on technology.

Where it is still open: Chart reading for one market and one user group, with a public, dated record of every suggestion and its result, would answer the trust question that the general apps leave open.

  1. 1Let the user supply the data as a screenshot, so the app needs no market data feed and works for every market.
  2. 2Combine the model's reading with named, standard indicators such as EMA, MACD and RSI, so the user can check the answer.
  3. 3Charge a subscription with a usage limit, and sell token packs for heavy users, so model costs stay below revenue.
  4. 4Record payments in a service such as RevenueCat, so that a buyer can verify the revenue if you sell the app.

What could go wrong for ChartPro+?

The risks are the mirror image of the causes above.

Revenue halved, and the data stopped

MRR fell 50.6% and 28-day revenue 43.3% in the 28 days to 2 October 2026, and the page data hold a churn rate of 47.6%. The RevenueCat key then expired, so no source shows the figures after 2 October. The MRR of US$2,838 is 41.9% above this site's floor of US$2,000 a month; another fall of that size would put it below.

A trading app named Profit

The store name is "Profit AI Analyzer : ChartPro+", and the description speaks of "optimal entry and exit points", "Market Predictions" and "proven logic" and ends with "maximize your potential". This page found no figure for what users earn on the App Store page, the listing, the terms or the publisher's site, which is why the story passed this site's rule on income promises. The App Store description contains no risk warning, and the terms say the company makes no warranty about "the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information".

Rated 4+, terms say 18+

Apple rates the app 4+, while the terms say "You represent that you are over the age of 18". The app covers crypto charts but does not sell a crypto token: its "Token" purchases are credits for extra analyses inside the app.

For sale, and an agency behind it

The seller asks US$21,600 and gives the reason "Finance for my other apps.", without naming those apps. The publisher presents itself on its website as a mobile app agency that builds apps for clients; this page judges the app only. A buyer would take over an app whose revenue was falling at the last sync.

Complaints and a copied name

A US review of 1 June 2026 says a paid subscription did not work, and the developer blamed server maintenance. In February 2026 a different developer released "ChartPro: AI Profit Signals" with almost the same name, and the App Store page recommends ten other finance apps next to ChartPro+, six of them AI chart analyzers by their names.
