KipAgent is a website chatbot sold by KIPDEV, a French SAS (société par actions simplifiée, a simple form of limited company) whose only director on the company register is its president, Yohann Kipfer. A business pastes one script tag into its site; KipAgent scans the pages, splits the text into segments and indexes them, and then answers visitors from that index. This method is called retrieval-augmented generation: the program first finds the passages of the site that match the question, then gives them to a large language model, a program trained on large amounts of text that writes the answer. The about page says the model is Claude, from Anthropic.
TrustMRR, a site that reads revenue directly from a company's payment provider, shows US$1,117 of verified revenue in total on 3 November 2026, from Stripe. The monthly figures grew from US$11.36 in March 2026 to US$175 in August, US$291 in September and US$424 in October. The same profile shows MRR (monthly recurring revenue, the subscription income that repeats every month) of US$63.66 and 4 active subscriptions.
This is a very small business, and the page shows it because the evidence is strong: the revenue is grade A. The company register lists one director and no salaried employees. KIPDEV was registered in June 2020, years before KipAgent, and no source says what it did before.

How much revenue does KipAgent make?
Each row shows the evidence grade and the source numbers from the list at the end of this page. The grades are explained in How Aiolum verifies.
| Fact | Value | Grade | How we know | Sources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Verified revenue in total, 3 November 2026 | US$1,117 | A | TrustMRR, from Stripe through an API key, revenue last synced 3 November 2026. The copy of 1 November 2026 showed US$1,084. | [1] |
| Verified revenue in October 2026 | US$424 | A | TrustMRR monthly revenue timeline. The best month so far. | [1] |
| Verified revenue by month, March to September 2026 | US$11.36, US$23.24, US$46.14, US$73.60, US$39.78, US$175, US$291 | A | TrustMRR monthly revenue timeline, in that order. Only July was lower than the month before. | [1] |
| Growth from September to October 2026 | about 46% | calc | Calculated: US$424 divided by US$291, minus 1. | [1] |
| Monthly recurring revenue and subscriptions, 3 November 2026 | US$63.66 MRR, 4 active subscriptions | A | TrustMRR metric snapshot. Four subscriptions at the lowest list price would be about US$174 a month, so the subscriptions must be discounted, partial or priced differently; the sources do not say which. October's US$424 is more than six times this MRR. | [1, 2, 6] |
| Founded | 23 February 2026 | C | Founder-entered date on the TrustMRR profile. The first verified revenue is in March 2026. | [1] |
| Company | KIPDEV SAS, SIREN 884 120 890, Mérignac, RCS Bordeaux, share capital €500 | A | Legal notice of kipagent.com and the French company register API agree on the name and SIREN number. The register gives a creation date of 9 June 2020. | [3, 4] |
| Founder | Yohann Kipfer, president of KIPDEV | A | The register lists him as the only director, "Président de SAS". The legal notice says: "Le directeur de la publication est Yohann KIPFER, Président de KIPDEV" (translation: the publication director is Yohann Kipfer, president of KIPDEV). TrustMRR links the founder profile kipferyohann. | [4, 3, 1] |
| Team | 1 person; no salaried employees | A | Register: employer status "N" (not an employer) and headcount band "NN" (no salaried employees). No source mentions other people. | [4] |
| Registered main activity | code 18.12Z | A | The register's main activity code is in section C (manufacturing, a printing code), not a software code. The head office's start of activity is 24 November 2022, and the company has had 2 establishments, 1 still open. The code was probably set for an earlier activity; not verified. | [4] |
| Outside funding | none found | C | No source mentions investors. Share capital €500. | [3, 4] |
| AI model | Claude, from Anthropic | C | About page: "propulsée par Claude AI d'Anthropic" (translation: powered by Claude AI from Anthropic). | [5] |
| Prices | €39, €79, €159 and €399 a month | C | Home page, read 3 November 2026. The same four prices appear on the TrustMRR profile. | [2, 1] |
| Developer program | 20% commission | C | Home page: agencies, freelancers and developers manage their clients' chatbots, "vous touchez 20% de commission retirable" (translation: you receive a 20% commission that you can withdraw). | [2] |
| Hosting | Railway | C | Legal notice names Railway Corp. as the host. | [3] |
| Time from founding to the November 2026 figure | 9 months | calc | Calculated: February 2026 to November 2026. | [1] |
How to read this table: grade A values come from TrustMRR's Stripe connection, the French company register or the US Federal Reserve. Grade C values are the company's own pages or founder-entered profile text. A "calc" value was computed on this page from the rows it names.
| Plan | Per month, billed yearly (US$) | Per month, billed monthly (US$) | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 43.54 (€39) | 1 chatbot, 500 pages indexed, about 1,500 messages a month | |
| Pro | 88.19 (€79) | 5 chatbots, 1,000 pages indexed, about 3,000 messages a month | |
| Entreprise | 177.49 (€159) | 10 chatbots, 2,000 pages indexed, about 6,500 messages a month | |
| Business | 445.40 (€399) | unlimited chatbots, 10,000 pages indexed, about 16,500 messages a month |
The site states prices in euros per month and shows no yearly billing, so the yearly column is empty. Conversion at US$1.1163 per euro, the Federal Reserve H.10 rate for 30 October 2026. The home page offers a 14-day trial with 20 messages. Every plan lists the same features; only the limits change.

Why did KipAgent work?
Four causes, in the order they mattered. Each one is a reusable lesson.
A narrow product with a short setup
The customer enters a URL, chooses colours and a welcome message, and pastes one script tag. The home page says installation takes less than 2 minutes and names WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Squarespace. A small business with no developer can do it.
Answers limited to the customer's own content
The FAQ says the bot is strictly limited to the site's pages and Google Business data, says so when it does not find an answer, and then offers a contact form. This is the main fear of buyers of support chatbots, and the product answers it directly.
Four fallbacks instead of one index
The about page describes four tiers: the stored index of the site, a live visit of the site when the index has no answer, Google Business data for opening hours and address, and a web search as a last step.
Resellers paid by commission
Agencies and freelancers can manage their clients' chatbots and receive 20% of what the clients pay, with Stripe payment links. This turns web agencies into a sales channel without a sales team.
How it was built
These details come from the company's own pages and the founder-entered part of the TrustMRR profile, grade C, except the payment provider, which TrustMRR verifies. [1, 2, 3, 5]
- Next.js for the website, according to TrustMRR's tech stack; the home page loads its scripts from Next.js paths.
- Claude, from Anthropic, as the language model, according to the about page.
- A site scanner that splits pages into segments and indexes them for semantic search, a search by meaning rather than by exact words.
- A widget embedded with one script tag, widget.js, with settings for colours, position, avatar and suggested questions.
- Stripe for subscription payments and for the payment links that resellers send to their clients.
- Hosting on Railway, according to the legal notice.
Who tried this before KipAgent, and why did they fail?
Four companies in our database of failed startups tried to answer website or app visitors with chat or automated replies, and failed. The values below are from that database and are not independently verified.
Answerly
The promiseFAQ bots on company websites that would answer customers so that people only handled the hard questions.
Why it diedIt built answer bots when language processing was weak, and Zendesk and Intercom were already in the market.
Hipmob
The promiseCustomer support chat inside mobile apps and websites.
Why it diedIntercom and Zendesk added the same features; it had little money and was hard to find.
RightHello
The promiseLive chat for online shops that would turn visitors into buyers with well-timed conversations.
Why it diedIntercom raised far more money, and RightHello could not pay for the competition in chat tools.
Vanti
The promiseAI chatbots that guide shoppers through product discovery and purchases.
Why it diedNo product-market fit in a crowded market; customer acquisition cost and integration work were too high.
The failed startups come from our database of 1,749 dead startups, retold here in our own words. Its entries are AI-assisted summaries of public sources, so these cards carry no evidence grade.
What changed
Answerly and Hipmob needed people to write the answers or to answer in real time. A large language model can now write the answer from a company's own pages, so the setup is a URL and a script tag, not weeks of writing FAQ entries. Vanti raised US$18 million, according to our database of failed startups, and still found integration too expensive; KipAgent avoids custom integration by reading public pages.
The competition problem is the same as for RightHello: large companies sell the same feature, and KipAgent's own site compares itself with Intercom and Crisp. The difference is cost. One person, a rented model, rented hosting and Stripe make a business that can run at US$424 a month, a level at which a funded company could not survive.
Can one person copy KipAgent now?
Yes, it is easy to copy, and so is the competition.
Nothing in KipAgent needs capital or a team: a scanner, a vector index, a model API, a widget and Stripe. That is also why the category is crowded. The useful part to copy is the local focus: French pages, euro prices, use-case pages for restaurants, shops and real estate agents, and agencies paid by commission.
Where it is still open: Website chatbots for other single-language markets and for one trade at a time, such as dentists, hotels or local councils, where the large tools are in English and priced for bigger companies.
- 1Pick one language market and write every page in that language.
- 2Make the setup a URL and one script tag, and limit answers to the customer's own content.
- 3Add fallbacks: a live page visit, the Google Business listing, and a contact form when no answer is found.
- 4Pay web agencies a stated commission to install it for their clients.
- 5Connect the payment account to a public revenue tracker so buyers and readers can check the numbers.
What could go wrong for KipAgent?
The risks are the mirror image of the causes above.
Very small revenue, and the recurring part is smaller still
US$1,117 in total and US$424 in the best month are verified, but the MRR is US$63.66 with 4 active subscriptions, less than four Starter plans at list price. The sources do not explain the gap: discounts, trials, partial periods or one-time payments are possible. The TrustMRR profile's founder-entered user estimate is 0.
A company older than the product
KIPDEV was registered on 9 June 2020 with a printing activity code, and its current head office started activity on 24 November 2022. No source says what the company did before KipAgent. The footer of kipagent.com links other sites of the same owner: comparison sites for AI tools and AI training courses, a directory of AI jobs and AI tools for restaurants.
The reseller simulation
The developer program shows a "Simulation mensuelle" (translation: monthly simulation) such as "5 clients ( Starter ) 39€ / mois", which is 20% of what the clients would pay. It is commission arithmetic from the stated rate, not a claim about what resellers have earned.
Small inconsistencies on the site
The FAQ says multilingual answers start with the Pro plan and mentions a free plan ("Gratuit"), while the pricing cards list "Multilingue" on Starter and show no free plan. The legal notice on 3 November 2026 says "Dernière mise à jour : 4 novembre 2026" (translation: last updated 4 November 2026).
Depends on one model provider
The about page names Claude from Anthropic as the model. A price change or an outage at the provider reaches every customer at once.
