What is not verified

The headline figure, US$9,500 of monthly recurring revenue, rests on one source: the title of an Indie Hackers interview of 6 October 2026, stated by the founder, Panche Isajeski, and quoted on his company's about page and in the company's own directory listings on Startup Fame, Turbo0 and Findly, which add that it came with no ads. The interview itself could not be read, because Indie Hackers does not allow this site's crawler. No payment-processor profile, journalist or investor confirms the figure, and no second dated figure exists to compare it with. The counts of 400 sellers and 1,400 payments are the company's own. A reader could look for a TrustMRR profile, a Stripe or Paddle-style verified revenue page, a second interview with a dated figure, or the Estonian annual report of Aristokrates OÜ for 2026 when it is filed. The headline number is grade D: one claim or one estimate, with no second source. Aiolum shows it because the story is useful, and marks it so that it is not mistaken for a verified figure.

AgentaOS is a merchant of record, a company that sells another company's product in its own name: it takes the card payment, charges the buyer's VAT (the value-added tax that European countries put on digital sales) or sales tax, files the tax returns, sends the invoice, carries the chargeback risk (a card payment reversed by the buyer's bank) and pays the seller out to a bank account twice a month, as its pages say. Sellers can be individuals, with no company, in more than 190 countries, including many where Stripe does not open accounts. Two AI agents come with every account: a Pricing Intelligence that signs up to the seller's product as a customer, scores the pricing out of 100 and ranks the fixes, and a Payments Intelligence, which is the same billing system exposed through an MCP server (a server that speaks the Model Context Protocol, so that assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can call it as a tool) with 31 operations: create a plan, open a checkout, send an invoice.

Panche Isajeski, who the company's pages describe as a founder with 19 years in payments and who, by his own company site, was earlier co-founder and chief technology officer of a crypto exchange, launched AgentaOS on 3 March 2026 as a "financial operating system for the agent economy", a stablecoin wallet with spending rules for AI agents, built by his Estonian company Aristokrates OÜ. By mid-March 2026 the archived blog had a pilot for bank accounts for e-Residency founders, a wallet product, and a command-line tool. None of those pages mention revenue. In August 2026 the same domain became a merchant of record for human sellers, with Stripe for cards, Bridge for settlement and Wise for payouts. The company's about page quotes, as press, an Indie Hackers interview of 6 October 2026 titled "Starting from scratch and hitting $9.5k MRR in two months", and its listing on Startup Fame, written by the company, says the same figure was reached with no ads.

That one figure, US$9,500 of monthly recurring revenue in October 2026, is the headline of this page and rests on one source, the founder's interview headline as quoted by his own site and three directory listings he wrote, so the page is graded D, reported and not verified. No payment processor profile, investor or journalist has confirmed it. The sellers and payments counters are the company's own, from its home page. The page also shows what happened to earlier payment companies that promised the same thing to small sellers.

AgentaOS: US$9.5K a month, October 2026. Merchant of record with AI pricing and billing agents for solo founders, Estonia, solo founder, evidence grade D.

How to read this table: a grade D value is a single founder statement with one date and no second source. A grade C value is read directly from the company's current or archived pages. A grade B value is visible in public code. A "calc" value was computed on this page from the rows above it. No value is grade A.

AgentaOS earns a fee on each sale rather than a flat subscription: the company's pricing page lists 4.5% plus EUR 0.50 per card sale on the free plan, 4% plus EUR 0.40 on Pro, and 1.5% or 1% when the buyer pays by bank transfer. Its terms say Pro costs EUR 49 a month, or US$49 on USD accounts, and that the fee is waived for a group it calls the Founding 30. The two set-up packages are one-time services: a pricing call, payment links and legal templates for EUR 99, or a checkout inside the seller's app with webhooks for EUR 199 and up. The terms also list a 1% payout fee with a minimum of EUR 1, a EUR 35 fee per card dispute, and a 1.5% surcharge on international cards that the company says it waives for the Founding 30 through 2026.

03

Why it worked

Four causes, in the order they mattered. Each one is a reusable lesson.

01

A niche the big processors leave open

The company's country pages say that Stripe is not available in 37 of the 85 countries it checked, among them North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Pakistan and Egypt. A merchant of record can sell on behalf of a person there because the merchant of record, not the seller, is the legal seller. The first country guides on the site are for the Western Balkans, and the first seller testimonial on the home page is marked "US → MK". No source read for this page states the founder's own country.

02

The seller does not need a company

Because AgentaOS issues the invoice in its own name and files the tax, an individual can sell a subscription or a template without registering a company abroad. The site compares this with Stripe Atlas and Estonian e-Residency, which cost money and time before the first sale.

03

Partners for every regulated part

The security page says cards are acquired by Stripe, proceeds settle on Bridge's e-money rails and payouts go through Wise. The company holds no licence of its own and says so: a seller's balance is a contractual claim on Aristokrates OÜ. That is what lets one person run a payments company.

04

AI agents as the product's extra

Every applicant gets a free written review of their pricing, terms and checkout before approval, produced by the company's Pricing Intelligence agent and sent, it says, within 24 hours. The same billing system is reachable from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor through an MCP server, so a founder who builds an app with an AI coding tool can add a paid plan without leaving it.

05

Pages instead of ads

The company's listings say the revenue came with no ads. The site's sitemap lists about 150 comparison, country, fee-calculator and answer pages, each dated and sourced, plus markdown copies and an llms.txt file for AI assistants, and it is listed on 16 directories. No source says which of these brought the paying sellers.

How it was built

These details come from the company's current and archived pages and its public code. They are grade C, except the public code, which is grade B. [13, 18, 7, 5, 10]

  • TypeScript throughout: the @agentaos/pay SDK, the agenta command-line tool and the MCP server are one Apache-2.0 repository on GitHub, with pnpm workspaces and a Claude Code plugin.
  • Cards are acquired by Stripe in hosted fields, so card numbers never touch AgentaOS servers; settlement runs on Bridge, an e-money institution licensed in Luxembourg; payouts go out through Wise in EUR or USD.
  • The first version, March 2026, was a non-custodial stablecoin wallet with threshold signing and passkey login; the merchant of record of August 2026 replaced it on the same domain and codebase.
  • The hosted MCP server at mcp.agentaos.ai exposes 31 operations with OAuth login; a SKILL.md file on the site teaches an AI coding agent the whole setup.
  • An embedded checkout script and a React component put the checkout inside the seller's own page; webhooks unlock and lock access.
  • The marketing site is static pages with markdown copies, an llms.txt and llms-full.txt for AI answer engines, and fee calculators for each competitor.

The dead that came before

Five companies in the Loot Drop database sold payments or payouts to small sellers and creators and died. The values below are from that database and are not independently verified.

What changed

Balanced and Fast built payment rails that competed with Stripe on price and lost, because Stripe could copy the feature and they paid Stripe-level costs underneath. Bluepad, Bitpass and Tipjoy sold payments to small sellers and creators whose transactions were too small to pay for acquiring them. AgentaOS is exposed to both: it runs on Stripe, Bridge and Wise underneath, and its sellers are small.

Two things differ. First, the business is not a rail but a legal role: being the seller of record, filing tax in 135 jurisdictions and carrying chargebacks is what Stripe does not offer to an individual in Skopje or Karachi, and it is what the regulated partners let one person resell. Second, the costs that killed the predecessors were people, compliance teams and marketing; here the compliance reviews are done by an AI agent, the setup by an MCP server, and the marketing by dated comparison pages. Whether a fee of 4.5% on small sales pays for disputes at EUR 35 each, the terms say, is the question the founder's reported US$9,500 a month does not yet answer.

05

Can one person copy it now?

The structure, with care. The numbers, not yet.

A merchant of record is a regulated business wrapped in contracts with Stripe, an e-money institution and a bank partner, and the founder came to it with 19 years in payments, by his company's account. What a reader can copy is the positioning: find the customers that the largest platforms refuse for reasons of geography or company status, and sell them the legal role, not the technology. The revenue figure is reported by the founder once, in October 2026, and nothing else confirms it.

Where it is still open: Any regulated service that the large platforms sell only to companies in a few rich countries: invoicing, tax filing, app-store publishing, business banking, insurance for freelancers.

  1. 1List the countries or customer types that Stripe, Paddle and Lemon Squeezy refuse, from their own pages, and write one dated page per country.
  2. 2Rent every regulated piece from a licensed partner and say so in the terms, so that one person can operate the product.
  3. 3Give each applicant a free written review before approval; it filters risk and doubles as the sales conversation.
  4. 4Expose the product to AI coding tools through an MCP server and a skill file, so that founders who build with Claude or Cursor can add billing without a docs visit.

What to watch

The risks are the mirror image of the causes above.

A seller's money is a claim on a small company

The security page and the terms say that proceeds sit with Bridge as Aristokrates OÜ's funds, that a seller's balance is an unsecured claim on that company, and that it is not safeguarded client money. New accounts wait about 14 days for the first payout, and the company may hold a reserve. A seller is trusting a one-person Estonian company with its revenue between sale and payout.

The business changed completely in its first year

The archived pages of February to April 2026 describe a non-custodial stablecoin wallet for AI agents, a bank account pilot for e-Residency founders and an x402 payment protocol. By August 2026 the same domain sold a merchant of record for people, with cards through Stripe. The archived about page of April 2026 also shows a different registry code for the company than the current page does. The pivot may be the reason for the growth, or a sign of more pivots to come.

Fees must cover disputes and compliance

The predecessors on this page died because small transactions did not pay for acquiring, compliance and fraud. AgentaOS charges 4.5% plus EUR 0.50 and passes on EUR 35 per dispute, by its terms. Whether the margin after Stripe, Bridge and Wise covers the free pricing reviews, tax filings in 135 jurisdictions and chargebacks is not shown by any source.

The large platforms can open the door

The niche exists because Stripe, Paddle and others refuse sellers in some countries. The company's own country pages say that Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Creem, Dodo Payments and Gumroad already accept sellers in North Macedonia. If Stripe adds those countries, or the merchants of record add AI agents, the differentiation narrows to the pricing review.
